Paul serves as of counsel at Diemer and Wei.  He has been a principal at small and medium-sized law firms, and practiced as a solo practitioner as well.  

Paul has been a litigator for over 40 years.  His prior experience as a transactional business, real estate and tax lawyer gives him a significant advantage in litigating in these areas of the law.  He has tried over forty-five jury and bench trials in Federal and State Court, and has handled numerous binding arbitrations.  His clients range from individuals and small businesses to multinational publicly traded companies.

As a member of the State Bar of California Intellectual Property Trade Secrets committee, Paul was one of three principal authors of the Model Protective Order for use in State and Federal Courts. 

Paul served for many years as a pro-tem law and motion judge and settlement conference judge and also served as an arbitrator and mediator.  He served as an expert witness in numerous attorney malpractice actions.

Paul served for three terms as a member of the State Bar’s Judicial Nominees Evaluation Commission,  which assists the Governor in the judicial selection process at the trial, appellate and Supreme Court levels.

Paul graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in history.  He graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law and received an LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law.
