David Castillo
Prior to joining Diemer & Wei, David served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in the Central Misdemeanors Unit. At the DA’s office he prepared for jury and bench trials, argued contested motions, drafted appeals, handled oral arguments and misdemeanor pretrial calendars.
David graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in English – Writing Intensive in 2016. He continued on to Santa Clara University School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 2019, passing the bar that same year. At SCU Law he served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Santa Clara Law Review and was a co-founder of SC Law Eats, a student run organization working to tackle food insecurity among law students. His internships during law school not only included an immigration firm and the SCC DA office but also an internship for Justice Nathan Mihara of the 6th District Court of Appeals.
